Surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Cook Islands, our tours showcase the reef in a way few people ever get to experience. From the huge giant trevally competing for a snack, to the colourful tropical fish and everything in-between - there is magic on every tour. Turtles are a frequent window treat and in whale season ... imagine a whale looking in your window - it happens!

When do we operate?
Good news! You don't have to book in advance for Raro Reef Sub. We operate according to weather and sea conditions, to ensure the best possible experience and safety for our guests. Tours are opened based on the forecast, and we operate every day conditions allow.
Our standard tour times are 11 am and 2 pm. Additional tours at 9 am and 4 pm may be scheduled when demand is strong, or for private charters.
Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure
About Discover Marine and Wildlife Eco Centre:
Discover Marine and Wildlife Eco Centre is the booking office for Raro Reef Sub and also home to Lickity Spliz Ice cream parlour.
The Discover Centre is your gateway to the underwater world of Rarotonga. Explore facinating marine life displays, learn about our unique reef eco system and the incredible wildlife that calls the Cook Islands home.
Better yet, paying guests going through the Centre are offered a $5 discount off their Raro Reef Sub tour.
Added bonus - a portion of your entry fee goes to the bird and turtle rescue efforts happening onsite.
